History and Membership
Maricopa Santa Fe Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1958. We began as a group
of co-workers at the Santa Fe Railroad Yard in downtown Phoenix who wanted to play a part in a movement that brought people together to form non-profit financial communities dedicated to people helping people.

At Maricopa Santa Fe Federal Credit Union our members are our owners, our shareholders. All of our profits go to benefit members. Earnings are returned to members in the form of annual rebates, attractive loan rates, and enhanced services. As a credit union we have only one goal: To serve our Members.

We're confident we can fulfill your individual financial needs because our services are personalized to the needs of our members. Our accounts are insured for up to $100,000.00 by NCUA a U.S. Government agency.

How to Join

Our credit union began as a financial community of co-workers and grew over the years into a community of families, friends, and businesses. Membership in Maricopa Santa Fe Federal Credit Union is open to:

  • Employees of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad who work in or are supervised from Maricopa, Yuma, or Yavapai Counties, Arizona, their immediate families and organizations of such persons.
  • persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment;
  • spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of this credit union;
  • employees of REA Express, National Carloading Company, Universal Carloading Corporation, Pioneer Carloading, or Merchants Shippers Association, who work in Phoenix, Az
  • office employees of Busy Bee Transportation Company, international Forwarding Company, Stor-Dor Forwarding Company and Republic Carloading and Distributing Company who work in Phoenix, AZ
  • members of the following associations in Glendale, AZ who qualify for membership in accordance with their bylaws as of the date of their addition to this field of membership.Knights of Columbus of Fray Fransicso Garces Council 3855
